Load banking

The purpose of load banking your backup power generators is two-folded. First, it ensures that your generator is capable and ready to assume your facility’s load in case of emergency. Second, it is a maintenance tool, used to not only diagnose any potential problems, but also to prevent future problems caused by running engines without load (carbon and oil deposits built-up, wet-stacking). Engine manufacturers, regulatory agencies (NFPA) and PCP recommend load bank testing in an annual basis.
